Anyone who knows me knows I’ve been wearing Kangol hats for so long that they’ve become a part of my identity. So when I got a chance to preview the new collection hosted by Exposure America, I had to check it out. Here are a few shots from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, including collaborations with Stussy and LIFUL.

#RiseUpOctober is a three-day event in NYC organized by Dr. Cornel West, Carl Dix, and the Stop Mass Incarceration Network. The aim is to protest and raise awareness of police brutality, incarceration, and injustice in the legal system. Speakers include the families of nationwide police murder victims. I joined the rally in Bryant Park and got some shots.

Symmetry Inside The Brooklyn Army Terminal

The Brooklyn Army Terminal is a former military base turned office/warehouse complex located on the Sunset Park waterfront. Unopened to the general public, I was able to take a look inside during Open House New York weekend. The first thing I noticed while shooting is how symmetrical everything is. Designed by Cass Gilbert, the architecture presents an opportunity for a lot of cool shots.

Heroic Villainy is a new duo show by Rob “TMO” Plater and Stanley Kubik at Grumpy Bert. Heroes and villains is the theme, with both artists bringing all our pop culture favorites to life. Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain America, Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, X-Men, and more are represented. Like everything with a comic book theme, let’s hope we see a sequel in the future.
